This set seems to have a particular problem with condition. Every set of this I've seen (except ones new in original packaging) has been moderately to severely tarnished. Cleaning with silver dip (see Cleaning Tips) will restore the bright appearance. The albums also tend not to hold up as well as some - most seem worn and dogeared - perhaps because this is one of the earlier Franklin Mint sets.
